Artist's Comments

This was originally drawn by David Finch and I was asked by Avalon Studios do to a digital painting out of David's artwork. I digitally redrawn and used Photoshop CS for the colours.

Its great, showing high skill on your part, but I don't like it for my own personal taste. All this digital painting around comics now doesn't appeal to me. :/

I want to be the man who can draw so many things, so well and in so many different ways.

Me too, man. It's just "work" and I had to do it to live. :)

You mean getting payed for a Crayola habit isn't fun! Oh no!

Actually, I never understood how some people end up in their jobs. No one grows up thinking "One day, I'll letter pages for Marvel Comics just like this forgotten name here!"

Most people grow up either wanting to be the writer or the complete artist, and in some cases both. But I really doubt the majority of colourists truely wanted to be in that job.

I suppose I should be greatful though that professional colourists do exist however. the amount of pirate software and cheapo tablets has seen an explosion in bad colour jobs across the net. The tools never made the artist, that soft squiggy thing holding the pen however might be.
