DeviantART.com is a very nice online community for me. I've met fellow Filipino artists there and they were all nice and appreciated most of my works.

I will not totally leave DA, I'll still post comments to those who are in my lists. I really like looking at these artists' works coz I see the progression; their evolution in style; their discovery.

Anne asked me why I'll be leaving DA, she thought someone's dissing me or mad at me. I told her no one is doing bad against me, everybody is too nice to me, which is not bad at all. I told her I just want to have one, and only one gallery online, which is my main website.

I had other online gallery but that one was all-digital artworks, it's in digitalart.org. I stopped posting there coz I rarely do all-digital drawings or paintings anymore. For me doing the actual artwork is quite more challenging than digital. It was quite a fun experience doing digital art but there are things missing after finishing an art. I cannot say the "hard copy" coz I can alway print my digital art. I think it's the fun of challenges, like making mistakes when you apply too much red or blue on the painting. Or the mixing of colours to get the right tint for the shades. There's something in real artworks that I cannot say exactly what.

Anyway, DA is a good experience although I get less critics and more praises. Critic is good, it makes me somewhat "healthy". I think everybody needs it, especially when you want to develop your artstyle. In my case, I really need it. My friend and co-worker Lan Medina and Leinil Yu are good teachers. They're both masters! I thank them the most.

I'll still be in DA, maybe lurking and stalking...or messing around. But I won't be posting artworks anymore. Everything will be posted here on my website--www.edgartadeo.com.
